Use svmon on AIX. It will show a free column in the output.  

Looking at your vmstat rep, the r value indicates a cpu queue. Ideally it should not exceed the number of cpus's on the box (lsdev -C|grep Process|wc -l). Seema Singh <oracledbam_at_hotmail.com> wrote: Hi
