I am looking for some information (white papers?) regarding the process for setting an optimal buffer cache. This is not in an effort to achieve a 99% bchr but rather to determine whether or not the current cache is over or under allocated. If idle ram is available should it be allocated to the buffer cache? Is the buffer cache as important in a DW environment vs an OLTP environment? Thanks
