This might be off track but you did the backup with 5 channels whilst trying the restore with 4 channels. What happens if you try the restore with 5 channels? HTH,

Sounds like you should be talking to your Tivoli folks.

They are responsible for implementing the RMAN interface to their product. Since a single channel restore works, it would seem they have some 'issues' in their system with multiple channel restores to RMAN.
