yes you will still have access to the data when the tablespace is compressed but please be aware of Bug # 2421054 ALTER TABLE TO ADD/DROP COLUMNS FAILED WHEN COMPRESSION FEATURE IS ON Hamid Alavi <hamid.alavi_at_quovadx.com> wrote: List,
