The new "2-day DBA" doc that is a part of the 10g docs is not bad for newbie's.... though in my quick look through SQL*Plus does not show up in the "Tools for Administrators" section.... In fact, I looked it up in the 2-Day DBA index and it has a reference to Dinosaur.....

        Mladen strikes, again!!

But to our newbie, since your migrating from SQL*Server to Oracle you =
already know a great deal. SQL may not be SQL in each database, but a = lot of the basics are the same. Take a look in your docs for the = SQL*Plus manual. What you'll find most interesting are the commands = listed in the back. You can also get a paperback "quick reference" = guide from your favorite bookstore for SQL*Plus.

I have good news and bad news. Good news is that I'm back in the office =
and
that I saved
10% on my car insurance by switching to Geico. Bad news is that you can =
not
learn about oracle
and SQL*Plus, you have to find it in you. Here in the US, people = sentenced
to long prison=20
sentences usually undergo religious experiences. You are sentenced to migrating your database, so
you should pray and SQL*Plus will be revealed to you. SQL*Plus is = revealed
to those who pray=20
and eat their spinach. Here is the site that will direct you further: http/www.landoverbaptist.org/
If you need any more directions, may the Google be with you, young = paduan.
