Everyone was once an Oracle Newbie.
As For Mr. Software.
Before venturing into the oracle world you need to asses what the migration [plan is and how you plan to do this migration. Oracle has a lots of docs on migration from sql server on OTN. Other than that i suggest you read thru the standard docs. install oracle Play around with before you actualyl attempt a migration or pay hefty fees to a coinsultant.

I have good news and bad news. Good news is that I'm back in the office and that I saved 10% on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
