To be fair, they are comparing a just-released version of Oracle with a version of SQL Server that is almost four years old.=20

Infoworld has a nice comparison article on the top 4 RDBMS's and their ability to work with XML data. http://www.infoworld.com/article/04/04/23/17FExml_1.html

Probably no surprise that Oracle came out on the top, and MS SQL Server came out on the bottom.

As with the Internet in general, Microsoft got started too late with XML, and SQL Server is evidence of that.
