SQL* waits not necessarily mean network issues (it could be). The signify client-server communication. IIRC you have a forms application, so you will see a whole lot of these waits in Forms application trace.=20

Go to Hotsos.com and read Cary's papers, they will provide most of the enlightenment you need.

I am trying to analyze a Oracle Perf problem for a client all my low level 10046 trace shows predominantly SQL*Message to client and from client waits ,I am of the opinion that Network is to be blamed here Can anybody Plz take a look at one of the trace files and confirm my findings.
