I am using tru64/trucluster, so I don't think issues with regards to libraries
will be a problem.

You don't say what cluster ware you are using, but if using Veritas DBE/AC
some of the libraries in your Oracle Home were replaced with Veritas ones
during installation. You should copy the original Oracle libraries back when
you de-RAC.=20

You should also relink your binaries with rac turned off. I've never measured the overhead by leaving this one, perhaps someone else has?

I am in the process of removing RAC from a database, and I am trying to find out if there is anything
further I need to do besides removing the necessary entry's from the init.ora file.
I have already successfully "de-RACd' one database, but do I need to remove the cluster views ?

What about the oracle binary, should that be recompiled with "rac_off" ?

Darren
