rm -- -v
that is 'rm' followed by a double dash and the file name.

do a 'man rm' for more details.

Somehow, a user has created a file called '-v' in a production directory. How in ******* do I remove it? I've tried all the 'rm' variants I know, to no avail. Wah!

Thanks,
Mike
