Hello Steve,

Thanks for the reply.. I am still not clear.. will it read it from HOST_A ? What if i have already backed up using RMAN but for recovery don't have the catalog.

Say : Backuped up HOST_A database using RMAN to DISK1.

Now when I restore without catalog.. will it read from DISK1 or HOST_A ?

Well, if i duplicate the database using RMAN.. it should read from HOST_A directly.
