No they had beta testers on windows too.

I wouldn't really see that as an acceptable workaround either, take out 10g from path and it no longer works till you put it back

This turns out to be a known bug- workaround is to remove the 10g home from=3D3D the path. Kudos to Oracle support for answering this so = quickly
