SQL Server is portable accross all Win2k platforms. As Linux is, according to Steve Ballmer, akin to communism, it doesn't really matter.

Unix is a close relative of Linux and should be considered at least pink, so the portability accross the Win2k platforms is what really matters. According to such definition of portability, SQL Server is very portable. Q.E.D.
