Hi Mike,
it was late enough that I just felt like complaining,
and didn't feel like creating an entire reproducible
test case.
there is an isqlplusctl.exe executable that can
stop/start it. someone on comp.databases.oracle.server
pointed that out.
and it did say "win32" in the subject line. :)
but mostly, I abhor stupidity of the nature of putting
a non-alpha numeric in a freaking OS service name.
I'll bet that the developer is a Mac user.
Mogens might accuse that developer of being a lesbian.
