Hoping someone can point me to a solution.

We are running 9.2.0.3 using Database Edition AC MP3.1 Solaris 8 on Hitachi storage array.

Once every other week, veritas misses a heartbeat and tells the OS to halt.

Veritas has had us replace mother board on a node and modify gabconfig parameters. this has not helped.

Our SA RMAN backups are running when this happens. Currently our RMAN back ups are not going to our Hatiachi but instead over the network to our SAN.

there are no oracle errors found in the alert log or backup. RMAN backup completes successfully everytime.

I am wondering if there is any query I can run to check throughput of the Interconnects. As I notice today one interconnect is 1gigabit and the other is 100mbs. Our SA says this is cause he wanted the other 1 gigabit to be for public access.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Lizz
