Joe,
my laptop only has 512MB of RAM too and it installed without any warnings whatsoever. Seems to run OK too.
I can't get any settings from it just yet but I'll try to list some of the /proc stuff later.

Cheers,
Mike

Has anyone been able to force the installer to bypass the memory check on linux. laptop only has 512M, and i'm not in position to purchase a new one so i can put 1G of ram in it.

i'm pretty sure it reads /proc/meminfo.

any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks, joe
