Hi,

What you need to do is run a second listener just for extproc. You should run this listener as an unprivileged user like the Unix nobody account. On windows the account should not be LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR and should include the "logon as service" privilege. metalink note 175429.1 describes how to do this. There are also some tips on securing extproc in the CIS benchmark - there is a link to it on my site along with the SANS SCORE document - http://www.petefinnigan.com/orasec.htm

hth

kind regards

Pete
