Hi Deep, I have experience with the Veritas products. Here's my two cents: NetBackup is wonderful. It includes rman integration and runs very well once the glitches are worked out. We are unfortunately using BackupExec at my current employer. It fails constantly with odd errors, does not include rman integration and requires constant reboots. The errors were so bad that we even replaced an entire tape library, Veritas said it was a hardware problem... guess what, afterwards we have the same stinking problems... Hi Deep,

I have experience with the Veritas products.  Here's my two cents:

NetBackup is wonderful.  It includes rman integration and runs very well
once the glitches are worked out.

We are unfortunately using BackupExec at my current employer.  It fails
constantly with odd errors, does not include rman integration and
requires constant reboots.  The errors were so bad that we even replaced
an entire tape library, Veritas said it was a hardware problem... guess
what, afterwards we have the same stinking problems...

Go for NetBackup if you can.  You won't be sorry.
