The solution is to install a decent browser and forget about the IE. You can find one on:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Alternatively, you can always try writing to Patchsoft. (http://www.satirewire.com/news/jan02/patchsoft.shtml) They might have something. Isn't installing oracle worth breaking @#$%&! IE?
