Just for fun, I counted the events in 9.2. Here's the result:

SQL> show release
release 902000400
SQL> select count(*) from v$event_name;  

  COUNT(*)


       401  

SQL> In 10g, there are 808 different events. Wow, more then double! It's going to be interesting.
