I have changed my settings to US-ASCII too.=20

...adding some return characters...

How about this long line? Outlook is wrapping text; do you see any of those unprintable characters on this line?

OK i'm using outlook 2000 SR-1 and have just set my encoding to US-ASCII.
let's see if the unprintable characters show up. this is plain text. if
not maybe we have a basis for the solution?
