Whatever method you go do, that 1Mb thingy in the middle might an issue :-)
I'd have a play with each of the options (sqlldr, export) and see which files come out best with
maximal compression. If either alternative comes out with a compressed file that still won't
travel nicely across the link...then its carrier pigeon time with a little tape strapped to its
wing.
