What are we looking for:
Oracle (5+ Years):
- Strong fundamental understanding of 8i and 9i release, including
performance tuning (stats pack, tkproff, etc.)
- Upgrade experience from 8i to 9i
- Multimaster/snap-shot replication experience is must
- Heterogeneous replication (from Oracle to MS-SQL) will be a huge plus
- Data Guard/Hot Standby/RMAN experience is essential
- PL/SQL coding and debugging experience will be an added plus
- Good skills in automation (shell scripting) and documentation is also
essential
- Working knowledge of Solaris and Windows system administration will be a
plus
- Oracle Tools (OEM, DBArtisan, TOAD, etc.) will be useful as well
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Should be able to mentor and be a team player
MS-SQL (2+ years):
- Basic system administration skills (set-up, upgrade, maintenance, data
growth, data maintenance, etc.) of SQL 2K servers
- Replication from MS-SQL to MS-SQL servers and DTS familiarity
- Performance tuning
- T-SQL coding and debugging experience will be a plus
- Experience in SQL tracing (using profiler) and using Windows performance
counter will be a plus
Miscellaneous:
Location: Downtown Manhattan, NYC. Prefer local candidate. Relocation/travel
expenses (for interview etc.) WILL NOT BE paid
