I'd say the issue is not "5 days", but how much is "5 days worth of transactions". If there is
lots (of txns) thats sounds like a very very big undo tablespace...It might almost be easier just
to have 5 copies of the database, marked "today", "today-minus-one" etc - which would be far
quicker to query :-)
