I have a package that I 'think' works, that writes stored code, etc... to a file in the proper order to ensure dependencies. We need it for our data loads. Its really ugly and I never trust code this nasty... if you want it send me a private email. It uses a korn shell script to run it.(strictly due to our architecture). The package 'exports' one user at a time and assumes that all dependencies are with in the same user.

In my opinion the best way to backup code, is through a change management process. Where you 'check in' and 'check out' code by version.

if you want it, send the email to rkgaffuri_at_cox.net (I get too many emails at this one).
