We are a location where our SAs don't like autoextend ... even DBAs = don't want autoextend.

is there a practical need to do that? I typically just turn autoextend = on for all my files and have code that monitors the bytes in all my = segments in a tablespace vs. the size of the datafile and I get an email = if its close to filling up or if the datafile extends.=20

is there a need for a more comprehensive approach?=20
