Hi list,

I know it's not possible to copy datafiles from one platform to another. For example you can't copy datafiles from HPUX to AIX or from Windows to Linux.

But I am not sure about Linux and Solaris, if I remember correctly I have installed solaris binaries into linux once. So I'm not sure about this question.

Can you copy datafiles (or a complete database) from a solaris to linux? would it work? Have any of you tested it ?
(I cat test it as I don't have access to a Soalris right now)

Thanks for your help!
Regards
Diego
