Hi!

Check v$session_longops view, it is meant for monitoring this kind of long-running jobs - but it can be quite inaccurate. Another way would be to check v$sort_usage during sorting phase of index recreation and then check the newly created index segments size (it'll be created as a temporary segment initially and switched to index-type afterwards).
