One minor caveat about setting timed_os_statistics. On Solaris, if you set timed_os_statistics to non-zero, microstate accounting at the OS level is enabled for the server process. Common practice is to leave it off for performance reason. But I've never seen experimental data proving the negative effect of turning it on.
