No idea how many there are at this stage. I'd suspect less than 100,
and possibly even less than 50 at this stage.
As for helping in get work, I haven't changed my job since I got it, but that really wasn't why I did it anyway. I did mine as one of the beta testers, so my reasons for doing it were:
