"so are they really new versions or just minor upgrades to the 9i version?"

let's see.  Otn is a marketing tool.  From a marketing point of view, what's better - changing the name to make it look like it's brand-spanking new, or making what is obvious obvious - that they are simply recycling the current version into a new version.

Subject: 10g stuff on otn

they list the new application server and the new developer suite as '10g', but then say 9.0.4 next to it?

so are they really new versions or just minor upgrades to the 9i version?
