Poor performance importing LOBS

Hi,

I have a apps 11.0 table that we have been importing with no problem but when we upgraded to apps 11.i the import takes 10 times as long. Upon inspection I found two of the columns have been converted to LOBS. I found a few articles on metalinks that referenced the slow import of LOBS but nothing to really fix it.

I bumped the import buffer up to 64M and that helped by about 25% but we need more.

I would appreciate any ideas. We are running 8.1.7.4
