Re: an article comparing Oracle to other databases

Yes, I saw that when it first appeared on /.

Seems some bright programmers are trying to dispense with databases altogether. Keep it in memory and write it to disk occasionally for backup.

And since we all know that memory accesses are ~14k times faster than disk, these benchmarks just drive the point home.
