Hi Zhu,

That's the point, exactly. They didn't trace/statspack/test whatsoever. I want them to gather metrics, before implementing some wild guess 'enhancements'. The reason why I posted the question was just my curiousity whether the characterset thing was some widespread knowledge I simply failed to hear of. As far as I can see it doesn't make much sense.
