We use it. I have been using it ever since it was Project Marvel under Oracle 9i.

No, it's not part of 10g per se; you could use HTMLDB along with Oracle 9i database. The coolest thing about it is you don't need expensive software such as Oracle App Server; an Apache webserver is all that is needed.

My biggest complaint is installation - the manuals available now are not upto mark. However, the product management team of HTMLDB has promised that the final manual will be a lot more user-friendly.

Why don't you just use Oracle's own HTMLDB installation and test your sample apps there to get a feel for it? If you like it then you can think about installing it in house.
