Re: full recovery

Btw, if you configure controlfile autobackup on, the controlfile is automatically backed up during any physical database structure change, e.g. adding a datafile, etc.

The file is backed up to $ORACLE_HOME/dbs or $OH/database (depending on platfoem) by default. You just be monitoring these directories in case you're making physical changes often in your database.
