PMON has to perform rollback on the behalf of the killed session and relinquish any resources that the session might be holding. Alter system disconnect session immediate will relinquich the server process faster, but PMON will have more work. Other then that, 'coz it's windoze, try with ctrl-alt-delete while holding NMI button on the housing of the computer. Your sessions will get killed instantly.
