Running DBMS_STATS causes ORA-3113 error on 9.2.0.3 Solaris 64-bit

We are having issues running dbms_stats.gather_table_stats. We get and ORA-3113 error message . The following can be found in the ALERT file: Errors in file /oracle/admin/VLDB/udump/vldbn1_ora_21486.trc: ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [0000000100E81374] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000058] [] []

I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this and has a work around. Wondering if analyze command is a work around until a fix is posted.
