Another issue might be related to doing time-based recovery. Oracle has a couple of notes on metalink related to changing server time and database impact.

Note:1013279.6 - HOW DOES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME AFFECT THE DATABASE? Note:77370.1 - What are the effects of changing the system clock on an Oracle Server instance?
