Re: insert and commit 1000 records at a time

Nologging suspends redo log entries generation FOR DIRECT OPERATIONS ONLY! Direct operations do not use SQL, they use Lisp (just kidding). Direct insert preformats blocks and appends blocks as a whole after the highwater mark, without using SQL in the process.
