Vivek - This subject has been discussed on this list from time to time. You can go to Google and search for Oracle-L "SQL Server" and variations to pull up previous discussions. Awhile back eWeek magazine did an extensive benchmark. It is a little date, but make sure you re-read that for insights. They also had a recent article discussing the shortcomings of their benchmark.
