I'm a "senior DBA" (whatever that means), and I do lot of ad hoc scripting for other people, and I don't get no 75K. But then, I'm not working for 35K to 40K either -- except when I was at WorldCom four years ago where I worked for 44K. They figured out how to get the best of both worlds: Work the H1 thing so that you bring "overseas" over here for the same price as having it overseas. Even then, they still managed to go bankrupt.
