that trigger is way too long ... IMO. but if you really must, convert the logic into a package and pass parameters to the package call from within the trigger.

I have a trigger that is 2315 lines long and essentially one big long code block. The trigger compiles in an 8.1.7 instance, but not in a 8.1.6 instance. The error it gives is PLS-00123 Program too Large. These are on separate boxes. I have been reading on metalink about splitting the trigger into two pieces to cut down its size. Besides that, is there anything else to look at to get the trigger to compile.
