PLS-00907: cannot load library unit

RDBMS 8.1.7.4 on Sun Sparc Solaris 5.8

Package USR1.PACKAGE1 on DB1
references USR2.PACKAGE2 on DB2,
which in turn references USR2.PACKAGE3 on DB2.

Sometimes the package body of PACKAGE1 refuses to compile, giving the error

PLS-00907: cannot load library unit [EMAIL PROTECTED]

         (referenced by [EMAIL PROTECTED])

Bouncing database DB1 fixes the problem (until the next time).

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for your time
