I really like your idea and it made me think of an easy extension... DB Links. And if you can fit the word "at" into the table name then it might even read right:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (a more tricky use of the syllable "at")

OK how about this one:
This will not work for columns, but let's say you need to have table names that exceed 30 characters but do not exceed 61 characters. If you don't mind a '.' in the name, then you can have table names like

EENY_MEENY_MINEY_MOE_CATCH.WHATEVER_BY_THE_TOE_YEEHAAA And all you have to do is create a database user for whatever is in front the dot. Now, you can have a 100% Dilbert approved database.
