This is *exactly* what I would like to do on our SAP systems when we upgrade, since this is the best way to move to LMT's.

Unfortunately for me and a lot of other folks, Windoze don't do that. :(

You can't imagine just how much I wish we were on Solaris.

You may want to review an article, "Cross Platform Migration of a Large Production Database", in
the latest issue(2nd Qtr 2003) of SELECT journal (by IOUG). The author details the procedure he followed to migrtate a 300GB production database from HP-UX to
IBM AIX.
