Indy - First, I would urge you to contact Oracle Support. You pay them for support and they are pretty good at walking you through a recovery. A problem with an email list like this is that you may get a variety of opinions. For many issues that is good, but in a critical situation, multiple opinions can be distracting. Aside from the fact that this list has a delay time of up to 2 hours.

    What is the situation with the rest of your database? Did you shut off access to your database by other users when this situation occurred? Do you have the option of recovering the entire database to just before the failure, or will you need to recover this tablespace on another server, then move it back to the production database?

One of DBA had dropped the Wrong tablespace for the PArtitioned table. The Datafile exist on the system. How to recover the Tablespace as it contains crucial data. RMAN backup also available along with Archive as well as Correct timing of Dropping the Datafile
