trace files

Hello list
I was using 9i release 1 on win32 till now. I installed release 2 ( 9.2.0.1.0) on another machine today.
Question : created two databases on these two machines. Same parameters except for "compatible". The release 1 database starts up and just creates the alert log file. The release 2 db creates the alert log file and another trace file. I have attached it with this letter. Is this normal or is something wrong ?
