Good points Jeremiah. In defense of the exam, I would like to make two points:
1) I've found the actual exam to be less tricky than the sample exams. My
assumption is that the actual exam has been tested more broadly than a publisher can afford to. This is irritating, but not life-threatening. If
you have progressed to the point of finding flaws with the sample exams, you
are ready to pass the actual exam. And in the end, passing is all that counts.
2) The subtly of the exam questions is an attempt to see if you really understand the material or are just parroting back what you've memorized. It
isn't a perfect mechanism. Maybe we should form the Guild of Oracle Experts
as an alternative to the OCP. Administer the examination we feel is appropriate.

Umm, he pretty much did try it himself. His questions really are, "Isn't this exam question unclear and idiotic? How are you supposed to pass the exam if the exam qriters lack basic skills of rational thought?"
