We are currently using Sql BackTrack to perform online backups and we are in archivelog mode. Sql BackTrack periodically moves the archivelogs from disk to tape throughout the day. Therefore, our current backup strategy allows us to restore back to a point-in-time. So, we have a project install for this weekend, would there be any need to perfom a complete offline backup prior to the implementation. I do not believe so, but applications would like one for peace of mind. Opinions anyone one way or the other???? Thanks
